So you have got your mortgage, the solicitor has worked his magic and then gives you a call to say that the keys are available for collection. You have now bought the first property in what you hope will be an ever expanding portfolio. Hopefully you still have some money left so my advice to you is to go out and celebrate this first deal; take your partner out and have a good meal and a nice bottle of wine as you deserve it for all the effort you have put in to get there.
