A subscription agreement is an investment document that requires and investor to disclose their income and / or asset position under one of several accreditation thresholds, in writing commit to having recognized and accepted the inherent risks to an investment project, receive in writing documents describing the financial projections, the global risks under the project, and the terms of management under the Operating Agreement, bylaws, or other governing documents of the investment. For the principal, this is the physical affirmation of an investor’s accredited status.
